We work to ensure that no Central New Yorker goes without fresh produce. To accomplish this, we grow, harvest, and distribute fresh vegetables and fruit, free of charge, to those suffering from food insecurity throughout 5 counties in Central New York. We do this through numerous food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, refugee and veteran groups, and others who partner with us. We also advise others on growing and preserving their own fresh produce.
We are dependent on volunteers to help with all aspects of the farm. We look forward to working with you on the farm.
The farm officially opens for volunteers on May 1st and closes for volunteers on October 31st. Our available hours for volunteers are Mondays through Fridays from 9:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 4:00pm; as well as, Saturdays from 8:00am to noon. The farm is closed on Sundays.
Volunteer tasks vary greatly throughout the season and based on current projects. For more information, visit our "Get Involved" page. Feel free to contact us with any questions or to schedule a visit. It is never too early to sign up for volunteering. We hope to see you at the farm this year!
At Matthew 25 Farm, we believe in the power of partnerships. We work closely with farmers, food pantries and other civic organizations to improve food security. Our partnerships allow us help more people in need and reach a larger audience with our donations.
We'd love to be in contact you to provide any additional info, organize volunteering, and answer any questions you have about the farm.
